I doubt it's only about money. There are women who genuinely love the idea of being married and having a family unit. For them, marriage is deeply tied to their identity, sense of belonging, and emotional security. Because of that, they may choose to stay with their husband regardless of how much the marriage is hurting them. Sometimes it's not about financial dependence at all,it's about the fear of losing their family, starting over, being alone, or letting go of the life they envisioned for themselves. In some cases, they continue choosing the marriage even when they are slowly losing parts of themselves in the process. Everyone's reasons for staying are different, and while some stay because they still believe the relationship can improve, others stay because they cannot imagine life without their husband or the family they have built together.
