CHANNA PULAO INGREDIENTS - Basmati Rice (4 cups) - canned chickpeas (2 cans) - Onions (2 large) - tomatoes (3) - minced ginger - minced garlic - chili powder - ground cumin - ground coriander - cumin seed - salt - dry plum - oil DIRECTIONS - wash rice 3-4x until water runs clear and soak in room temp water for 30 min - slice onions and fry unitl golden brown - add minced ginger and garlic and fry until fragrent and golden - add in dry plums - add in chopped tomatoes, ground cumin, ground coriander, chili powder, salt, cumin seeds and fry until tomatoes breakdown - add in drained and washed chickepeas and fry for 1-2 minutes then add in 1 cup of water and cook unitl simmering - add in drained rice and enough water to cover rice with 1 inch above rice level - cook on high until 90% of the water is gone, stirring gentley in between if needed - lower heat and cooked cover for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked #rice #pulao #channapulaorecipe #RamadanMubarak #ramadanvibes #ramadanrecipes #pakistanifood
