@gbnews: Record-breaking temperatures in May brought tragedy across the UK, with a series of drowning incidents leaving families and communities devastated. As temperatures hot up again, the Royal Life Saving Society are educating children and young adults in water safety and lifesaving skills. GB News Reporter Anna Riley visited a leisure centre in York to find out more. #Heatwave #Swimming #uknews #GBNews

After St Helens council shut 3 swimming pools, one leisure centre has 3 separate pools which had lessons every single day. This is another issue, children don’t get swimming lessons anymore to learn. I remember being in school we had to go in fully clothed with shoes and go to the bottom and get an item, we did so many safety lessons. Now people wonder why St Helens voted for reform.
