I’m up in the Hamptons. My elementary boys love BL101 stuff, Nike, vineyard vines polos and whale shirts, JCrew fun print button ups (think fruit and sea creature stuff). It’s colder up here so they wear a lot of sweatpants, jeans and khakis in the winter. Shoes are Nikes, OC, crocs, and blundstones.

As a mom of 4 teen boys I can confirm this is all accurate. Also… the alpaca hair has moved to a bleach buzz for a few of them. 🙈 When my boys dress up for church they love Ralph Lauren and a kaki golf pant that looks dressy but is athletic feeling.

Honestly, caring about this stuff does make a difference. I work with teens, and I started buying my son similar clothes to cool teen boys when he was in 3rd grade. Lots of simple, coordinated stuff from Abercrombie and Nike. The response he got was immediate (including from the little girls in his class 😂) Parents started asking me how he looked so nice and mature. He started getting into taking care of himself and his confidence really skyrocketed.

So Cal here… boys the love surf/skate brands here, and definitely a baggy trend as well going on. Baggy jeans, baggy shorts. Crocs are still very popular here with crew cocks.

I know my son is young (3rd grade) — but I’m thanking God that he doesn’t give a shit about what he wears or what anyone else is wearing. 😂 I definitely buy what’s trending, but I don’t think he’s ever mentioned anything about clothing to me, ever.
