Fill your bathroom sink with cold water, the colder, the better. Hold your breath and submerge your face for as long as you can. You can do this as many times as you need to, for up around minute. This automatically begins to lower your heart rate slowly. It activates your parasympathetic nervous system which is the opposite of the threat response (fight/flight), when we’re anxious. This is called the mammalian dive reflex and your brain and body work together without you having to think about it. You can adapt it by running your shower head on cold over the back of your neck as an alternative. ❤️
