Most people have no idea where their meat comes from, how the animals were raised, what they were fed, or how many hands it passed through before it reached their plate. That’s why we’re making a conscious effort to source more of our food directly from local farms. We recently got our Berkshire pork back from Golden Bear Farms, and not only does it taste incredible, but it feels good knowing exactly where it came from. These pigs were raised outdoors, on pasture, by a family that genuinely cares about their animals and the quality of the food they’re producing. This is the kind of food system I want to support. One where families know their farmers, where animals are raised with care and where our dollars stay in our communities instead of being funneled into massive corporations. They also offer grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, eggs, honey, and more. You can purchase whole, half, or partial animals, and they even ship nationwide.
