I think that also comes from husbands like John of Gaunt.... strategically elevating his mistress Catherine ... who worked her way up from being a nanny to his late first wife's daughter... then stayed shrwed mistress,baby mama to 3 of john's children... while both John and Catherine worked to destroy John's legitimate second wife 😅😅😅 so history..does teah somethings and some nannies do be slim shady plus..thehusband!! already a pain in ass 😅

As a “pretty” nanny, I still do my make up routine with a dress usually. The trick is putting the wife on a pedestal. I always say she is the queen of the house and it seems to work out!

I got hired by a single father ONCE and never again. He would work from home everyday, never let me take his daughter to the park by myself, he would take us on the golf cart. The last time I ever nannied for him, he told me his neighbors asked him if I was his girlfriend and he thought it was funny. That’s exactly what he wanted to happen. Not negating your point at all btw just wanted to share😭

It’s unfortunate, I slightly understand the concern though. My sister in law’s dad left their mom for the nanny. It happens. I’m a nanny myself, and with every family I’ve nannied for, I’ve always gone out of my way to make sure I don’t talk to the dad more than I have to 😂. And if I do, I make sure it’s NEVER in a room alone with him, or it’s in a group text with the mom.

When I started nannying, my own mother said good luck! I’d never hire you as a nanny! I thought maybe I was bad at it and she elaborated it was my face. Really sucks.

Embarrassing to admit but I hired a very pretty young nanny once who was amazing but I did feel very insecure about my post partum frumpy lumpy body around her. I never let her know though or made her feel bad. She was an amazing nanny
