They hand you pre-selected ingredients. They walk you through a "signature scent" exercise. You leave feeling inspiredโ€ฆ but completely unprepared to create professional fragrances. Why? Not just reading them. ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ. Because when you rebuild Chanel Nยฐ5 from its GC-MS analysis, you learn: โœ” Why aldehydes at 1-2% create that "champagne bubble" effect โœ” How jasmine and rose balance at specific ratios โœ” Why the base needs exactly that proportion of sandalwood and vanilla โœ” How ylang-ylang at 0.3% adds complexity without dominating You can't learn this from a workshop description of notes. He didn't just describe flowers to his students. He made them recreate classic accords and legendary perfumes. Over and over.
