Tiktok actually told me it was ok to buy from our own showcase and make the commission. I think this policy is something totally different than when you just buy something for your own actual use. I buy because I need something, not to “inflate my creator metrics”.

For two years straight I posted daily. I have used promote, joined the communities, joined the agencies, worked on editing, script writing, etc. I have gone live,etc. The return on this investment is not worth it anymore. “Oh don’t stop. Oh fix your mindset. If you are consistent enough you will hit the lottery”. Time for a change. If I am not changing I am choosing. The one thing keeping me shopping was being able to shop my own showcase and not to inflate my numbers. 😏

It is less money normally because I deduct the commission. I use the product to promote. I will just buy from Amazon from now on, it seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot. I don’t need the added stress of refundable samples as I work full time. Because of this policy I just went to QVC directly and purchased two items I would have otherwise purchased on here and will likely get them faster.

Hasn’t this always been policy? Maybe they’ve now clarified the details, but I’ve been told not to buy from my own showcase for forever, so I don’t. I don’t mind this policy. 🤷🏾♀️

This is wild! I mean if I love a product and I promote it and I want to buy it be I am running out… why wouldn’t I be able to buy from my own showcase? They need to have a way they allow us to buy from our own showcase (on the backend), get the commission or an extra discount ( because we are buying it just like anyone else). Now if the order and then CXL to boost themselves that should be a looked at… but not just buying products that we promote and truly love.

Sellers are picky about giving free samples, we purchase them from here and are penalized? I get if people are doing it to go to the next level or cancellations. I add items to my showcase to remind me of a products I wanted to get. What do they want us to do?

I don’t buy from my own showcase. Never have. I don’t do that. If it doesn’t sell, then it doesn’t. My family will buy from my links if they want the product and I think TikTok should allow that. What would be the difference if they bought from any other showcase? I don’t do follow trains or like for like. I prefer to grow organically.

I think buying from your own showcase every now and then isn’t a problem. It’s if you buy a bunch of the same product to win those GMV competitions or things like that. That’s bad.
