We pay tithe because of our faith in Christ. Nobody is demanding it from me. The church has paid my mortgage, put food on my table and bought my kids Christmas when I couldn’t due to a life threatening illness. I will gladly pay my tithing

I don’t go to church anymore or pay tithing. My mom still goes so sometimes I’ll go to sacrament to keep her company. When my family was struggling financially the church helped them and never asked for a cent. Missionaries around my neighborhood also come around and I tell them I am not interested in the church and I still see them helping out my neighbors. Everyone has their own perspective from what they experienced with the church and while I don’t attend anymore, I’ll always respect the LDS church for all the positivity I have seen.
