I had to ask before touching or moving anything that didn’t belong to me or before going into any room. To this day I still ask “can I move ur jacket” “may I scoot over your water glass” and I even catch myself almost asking to enter rooms in public places😂

My step dad was an old navy vet. Highly regimented. Lunch consisted of 1 scoop of cottage cheese, 1 scoop of yogurt, 1/2 a pb and honey sandwich, 1/2 a lunch meat sandwich and a multi vitamin. Plates were set specifically. Yogurt at 10 o'clock and vitamin at 3. As a teenager, I would actively mix my food, and say I like it that way. For the record, I in fact, did not like it that way. However, mashed potatoes of green beans and ketchup is now one of my favorite foods… as an adult. I still struggle when meals are not complete. Like you can't just have a taco. You are supposed to have a protein, a carb and fiber. I'm 46. It has never changed. Meals need to be complete.

Not me, but I worked with a guy who wasn’t allowed to sit on the furniture or go into the kitchen when he was a kid. He would always sit on the floor when he was in other people’s homes.
