Modern history has been built upon litres of blood and piles of corpses. If any race or nation, such as Western Europeans, is to blame for and has to subject themselves to medieval-style indulgences in order to atone for the crimes of past generations and the sins of the father, it’s hypocritical to say all other races and nations aren’t to blame for their ancestors crimes. It’s genuinely insane logic, to claim that an entire race deserves whatever comes to them because of their ancestors. Nobody has any moral debt for the actions of their ancestors, there is no inherited sin of past generations because you are not directly responsible for any sort of atrocity, I did not make any demographic minorities because I wasn’t there for it, and almost every major civilization or demographic group has been both a victim and an aggressor at some point in human history, and when you start assigning collective guilt for past actions you create an endless, hypocritical loop of recrimination if you are only willing to attribute these crimes to one nation while ignoring the rest for being brown or something (like Turks and Arabs, who despite having waged conquest and genocides, would scoff in your face if you told them that they somehow deserve to be ethnically cleansed/demographically displaced because of what their “ancestors” did however long ago).
