Uuuuuummmm….we all understand the Bridgerton is set in an ALTERNATE REGENCY ERA UNIVERSE right?!??? Like…..it’s fantasy based off of historical people and time, so historical accuracy was not its goal. Also, Black people did wear regency era fashion and while they may not have had any status that put them in everyday equal standing with White people, there were definitely Black people of royalty and court standing amongst themselves when it came to them in other countries or whatever standing that was made for them under White rule.

there are bound to be inaccuracies with Any show depicting the past or history because history can be confusing at times. Plus there's also the fact that companies modernize historical shows to make them more relatable.
