My son told me in all seriousness that I could come live with him, and if his wife didn’t like it, she could leave. I had to point out to him that he wasn’t married and he was only seven years old at the time.

No joke I’d rather be in an assisted living situation like my grandmother where she’s got her own apartment and kitchen that she can separate herself from the rabble, but if she wants to she can go socialize, have meals and cocktails with the other residents if she wants to. That’s my plan. Sounds better than most people’s living situations right now anyways.

I don’t mind if my kids help me into an old folks home when I can’t take care of myself. I wouldn’t want to burden their lives if they can’t help easily. I’m good. Had a good run. Nbd.

Well since I don’t have kids, I’m assuming I might have a couple extra dollars saved that could help with some decent end-of-life care. Anything that would’ve gone to a college fund is going to my retirement
