Subject: Complaint Regarding Unpaid Assistance for Somalis Returned from Yemen We are writing on behalf of the displaced Somali returnees who were brought back from Yemen on August 5, 2026. We are expressing our deep concern regarding the financial assistance promised to us by UNHCR, which we have not yet received. We urgently request UNHCR to ensure the release and distribution of the funds allocated for us. To date, we have not received the promised cash assistance, nor have we been transported to our home destinations. As a result, we are currently homeless and living on the streets in Mogadishu under extremely difficult conditions. We appeal to UNHCR to urgently address this issue and provide the support we were promised.
