All the introverts saying.....um, no thank you. But..........but, most people know introverts, so making an appearance with kindness, includes you in the village. Making a 30 minute stop & greet, then excusing yourself (gently) is the way to have community without it overwhelming you. Community includes everyone.

this is great! Our neighborhood used to do a pizza driveway night where we rotated houses every Thursday night June-August with the last pizza night being the night before the first day back to school. Lots of good memories!

The best thing about this is not only did you connect with your neighbours, but you gave everyone an opportunity to connect with each other. No doubt new contacts were made, older contacts reconnected, people learned about activities/support structures available in the community. Such a nice vibe all around 💜

Love this! We have a great street like this. We have Bathrobe and Beverages the 1st Saturday of the month, the guys play poker once a month, we go to a different restaurant every month, we go to each other's home dressed up for a drink and snacks for Halloween, rotate to see everyone's Christmas trees with a drink and horsd'oeuvres...We have been doing this for about 20 years.
