A lot of it is parents who dont advocate for their dogs. Kids pull on tails and ears stand on them. Which cause pain to the dogs. But the dogs get in trouble for growling (telling the kids to stop) so the dog stops growling and eventually just reacts.

I have been dog sitting over the weekend and one of them has killed another dog they had and bite a little kid in the face. Despite that she is so sweet and loves pets I don’t understand how she could have done this she is an Australian shepherd but I have not felt unsafe sleeping next to her

There are some angry, territorial, and protective dogs, but not “bad dogs”, just bad people. Unfortunately, part of the problem is the people who either A- don’t try to tame the dog’s behavior or don’t care, or B- the parents that let their kids do whatever and don’t try to correct them. Either way, it falls back on entitlement of some sort 😅

It can be the owners and they don’t know how to handle their breed of dog or they just let them off the leash because yes, some attacks are on the owners but not always

That’s mainly the parents fault them kids were probably irritating them dogs and them parents didn’t stop the kid till it was to late I have a dog he’s part pit and lab sweetest dog on this planet i would not bring him around kids bc he loves to jump and he’s to rough and don’t realize it…and if kids to pet him I don’t let him have enough reach to jump on the kids 😭 it’s all abt how the dogs are raised and brought up and how the kids are raised and brought up and taught

I feel like this could either be the dogs fault and/or the person who’s getting attacked fault, if the dog had a previous owner it could’ve been trained a certain way to where it attacks to the most littlest kind of movements or it could be the person’s fault for either bothering the dog up to the point it attacks or they know the dog isn’t friendly and still try to get close. I would js blame both sides of this kind of thing
