Critics are furious. Talarico says there is something deeply wrong when one trillionaire can buy his own personal US senator, and Bernie Sanders calls it oligarchy. Musk's side disagrees. His America PAC spokesman says these investments give Republicans a fighting chance, and supporters call it protected political speech.
