Four things you must accept if you truly want to enter the kingdom of heaven. Many people believe that as long as they believe in Jesus and their sins are forgiven, they are already guaranteed a place in heaven. But does the Bible really say that? There are four things you need to understand. First, sin is far more serious than you think. You may think: “I have not done anything terribly wrong. I am already much better than many other people.” But the Bible says: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 KJV Sin is not only murder or serious crime. Pride, lies, jealousy, greed, and even evil thoughts in the heart all cause us to fall short of God’s glory. So, what people truly need is not simply to become “a little better”. We need God’s redemption. Second, you must recognise that having your sins forgiven does not mean you have already been freed from sin. After we believe in the Lord, why do we still lie, lose our temper, become jealous and greedy? Why, after confessing our sins, do we soon repeat the same sins again? Because although our sins have been forgiven, the corrupt nature within us has not yet been completely cleansed. Third, only Christ can save us. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV, So salvation does not come through our own efforts. We must come before Christ and receive His salvation. Fourth, and most importantly: you must be cleansed and become holy. The Bible says: “Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews12:14 KJV So if we already believe in the Lord and our sins have been forgiven, but we are still living under the bondage of sin for a long time, then we must seek: When the Lord returns, what more will He do for us? Jesus said: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” John 16:13 KJV, If you long to welcome the return of the Lord Jesus, want to understand how the Lord will carry out the work of cleansing people when He returns, and how we can truly break free from the bondage of sin, you are welcome to join our free online Bible study group.
