Left the tourniquet on after there was already clear blood flow. Left the tube in while taking the needle out and literally YANKED it out. I’m just a high school graduate with a medical assistant certification, this is worse then what I’ve seen in my classes by far 💀

Four day old bruise from somebody yanking a needle out of my arm like that. It stung for an hour after and it just stopped getting random pains when my arm was at my side. :/

Pretty good but for the love of god, remember to remove your tube, and NEVER pull out a needle like that especially with a butterfly. Can send blood flying everywhere and god forbid someone was standing behind you, you would’ve stabbed them

You have to remove the tourniquet first to avoid blowing there vein 🤦♀️

Andrea 🇮🇹 :
Gosh: The way you hold that butterfly is improper, you didn't remove the turniquet, you didn't remove the vial before removing the needle, you literally yanked the needle out of the arm (without removing the fricking turniquet) wth. You're gonna leave a big ahh bruise on that arm bruh

My mom is a phlebotomy instructor and im a MA we’re appalled… tourniquet first. NO PRESSURE UNTIL THE NEEDLE IS OUT. Also those tourniquets are for people who hike , bunny lace for life

A phlebotomist I don’t like the yanking of the needle and just moving the tourniquet. The tourniquet should be removed not just moved a little bit. It should be removed entirely to release the pressure that it’s holding on the arm, this is how people get hematomas.

1. Nurse’s aren’t supposed to yank needle’s out of patients 2. You need to put a trigger warning on this, im not bothered but there are plenty of people who are bothered by the sight of blood
