no one has contacted me. aidvantage has said nothing. it seems like no one truly knows including the government. it shouldnt be a puzzle. either the government/loan agencies tell us straight forward or move on and forgive them.

I’m sorry but the non stop changes by our government should be illegal! No one can keep up! This has to be illegal. How can you change rules for people that have had these loans for years? Your mortgage people can’t. These new contracts are not what anyone signed up for.

I applied for an IDR plan, at first they said my payments would be $71. 2 days after my first statement the payment suddenly changed to $432. They’ve been zero help in helping my choose a different plan. This system is a joke!

I'm about to pay a lawyer $6k to reopen my ch 7 from 2 years ago to include my loans. What a mess. I wish I could tell 22 year old me to never go to grad school.

I’m just focused on groceries gas and rent. I dont have the budget for loan repayment. Either wages can be raised or the debt can be eliminated. 🤷

I called Nelnet about my SAVE plan this week. They told me what you just explained. That 2028 forbearance is no more because the SAVE plan is no more. I applied for another plan this week. I’m waiting for it to be processed. I figured I may as well see my options.Not that I don’t trust that RAP plan that’s coming up but I don’t.

Both the studentaid.gov and Mohela websites error out when they try to find my loans or say I owe $0. But Mohela sent me an email last week saying they put me into a new plan already. I’m so lost 😅

How long does it take for the new plan to take effect once you apply? What if you apply for a new plan, but it's still pending when your forbearance ends? Will they put you in standard repayment or wait to make you pay until the application goes through?
