@mededcases: 🖐️ Can your brain keep up with your hands? The Rapid Alternating Movements Test is a simple neurologic exam used to assess coordination and cerebellar function. Patients are asked to quickly alternate movements, such as turning their hands palm up and palm down, while the examiner looks for smoothness, speed, and rhythm. ⚠️ Difficulty performing these movements (dysdiadochokinesia) may suggest cerebellar dysfunction and is often seen alongside ataxia, dysmetria, and other coordination deficits. Have you ever performed this test during a neurologic exam? 🔗 Learn more on WikiSM.org — link in bio. 📖📖 For Educational Purposes Only 📖📖 #Neurology #PhysicalExam #MedicalEducation #ClinicalSkills #SportsMedicine
