You failed to mention that you can flavor a simple syrup in a multitude of different ways. You make it sound like the only option is a tasteless, sugary sweet simple syrup when in fact you can make it any flavor you’d like, including vanilla. 😊

Freezing makes the best cakes. Putting it in the freezer freezes the state it’s in. Still fresh.

Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out what to use besides sugar water. I don’t like my cakes too sweet & this reminds me of tres leches. I do plain milk but this is better🥰

If the cake recipe calls for vanilla, wouldn’t the vanilla/milk mixture alter the cake flavor and make the vanilla overpowering?
