In Alaçatı, pide costs 1,100–1,500 TL, an iced latte is around 600 TL, pizza ranges from 1,100 to 1,600 TL, mantı costs 850–900 TL, and baklava or kazandibi is over 400 TL. I was genuinely shocked by the prices and found myself wondering how locals manage to survive with such high costs.

Tea ☕️ Rise :
As a nut allergic person this is just so difficult. The waiter didn’t make the food- they don’t know anything about nut allergies- often saying ; “ but it’s SO good, just a little bit nuts in it” But I will NOT DIE so I always rent apartments with kitchen- fantastic products in the stores and the vegetables are insanely good

I recently returned from Istanbul and sultanahmet area is a scam. The mark up for tourists is insane. For example: basillica cistern, 1 Turkish lira for locals and 1950 for tourists. 1950x mark up is just insane.
