As an American, you can ignore some of the, “don’t go to (insert place multiple Americans have recommended), go here instead!” We all have strong opinions on food. And it doesn’t matter how good or popular a place is- plenty of people will think somewhere else is better. As long as it is good and you are enjoying it, it works.

Brit in Austin here, interstellar and salt lick are the best imo, interstellar has a Michelin star. Don’t do Franklins, crazy line for decent food
