![Ismaël Koné, Canada’s national men’s soccer midfielder, will undergo surgery for a broken leg sustained during Canada’s 6-0 victory over Qatar on June 18, according to head coach Jesse Marsch. Qatar’s Assim Madibo tackled Koné from behind during the first half of the match, causing a stoppage in the game so Koné could be stretchered out of B.C. Stadium to a hospital.
