No, always paint the Sky first, then the clouds, so you don't have hard edges on the clouds which looks like a sticker placed on the blue sky. edge of the clouds are far away so they always have soft edges.

what it the orange base? I can never figure out what im doing? I follow all the instructions and my results are never anywhere close to whats demonstrated. I feel like theres either a lot of stuff left out or a whole lot of stuff that everyone else just seems to know automatically thay I dont.
