I was just discussing this very thing recently with someone! Someone read me a grotesque short story a child had written in French and when they started translating it to English, I couldn’t bear it but when they continued instead in French, I could deal with it. It’s an interesting phenomena!

This is such pseudo-scientific nonsense: hardly any child is reprimanded with swear words. Most people don’t “feel” swear words in the same way, because they don’t learn languages contextually. If you learn them and are exposed to them in real life rather than in a classroom, they will feel the same. It tells us more about our education system than about the structure of language itself. And don’t get me started on the pseudo-scientific theory that bodily reactions accurately measure mental states; that’s ideology, not science.
