girl im type 2 and i feel this so much. like no i didn't do anything to "get" type 2 diabetes my body just did that itself... yes im aware im young but it does that sometimes.

Type 1 is an autoimmune condition if I remember correctly. And type 2 is much more about genetics than lifestyle and diet, though they can help manage it

I had a doctor in the ER argue with me asking me if I was sure I was type 1, not type 2. I’ve had it since I was 7 - I’m now 45. Like sir, for real?

I got told my doctor must have lied to me because I was too skinny to have diabetes...I was in severe DKA and was 80lbs at 20 years old because no one caught my pancreas quitting on me😭

My brother is T1. He did tell me one time if I ate an entire box of donuts I was going to get Diabetes. I straight up looked at him and said “wow. How many boxes did mom let you eat?” And he got mad
