A 17-year-old girl is dead. Her name was Thanchanok. She was 17 years old, from Kalasin province, full of life — and now she is gone. Murdered in Pattaya two nights ago by a 46-year-old Australian man named Simon Peter Carman. Her body was stuffed into a black suitcase, loaded onto the back of a motorbike, and dumped in the grass beside a railway track. He then tried to flee the country. He was caught at Suvarnabhumi Airport buying a ticket to Perth. He has since confessed. This is not fiction. This is not a movie. This happened HERE. In our city. Two nights ago. I live in Pattaya. I love Thailand and I love the Thai people deeply. And I am absolutely sickened, disgusted, and enraged by what happened to this young woman. While certain individuals spend their time online spreading lies and filth about people who have done absolutely nothing wrong, THIS is what is actually happening in the real world. THIS is what deserves attention. THIS is what deserves outrage. And on that note — do not pay attention to the haters and scammers online who talk absolute nonsense about people and deliberately lie to make good, decent people look bad. They are a distraction from what truly matters. Real victims. Real crimes. Real consequences. Thanchanok deserved to live a full life. She deserved safety, respect, and dignity.
