I flew into kai tak in '96. It was my first trip to Asia and no one had told me that the plane was going to turn sharply after the gear and the flaps were down. all I saw at the window was skyscrapers and apartment buildings and I literally thought I was dying.

It’s surprising that despite its enormous size it’s efficient and fairly quick from gates to the exit. I love flying into that airport!!!

I remember flying into kai tak as a little girl and i also remember being in the city and watching the planes come down for a landing. It literally looked like it was going scrape the top of the buildings. Quite a sight to see
