When I was growing up in the 80s a company by the name of Schwan‘s would go door-to-door selling frozen foods and they would sell a 2 1/2 gallon container of ice cream

This was great! I giggle when people come here and see the size of our portions like the ice cream and they are like why so much. It is for a family of 3-4 and not individual or it’s not a single serve size 🤣😂 also it is not eaten all right away. I have ice cream in my freezer for over a month because my kid forgot about it 🤣😂

We as Americans have huge freezers. We will buy everything in bulk so we don’t have to go to the grocery store every day or every two or three days. That way we save time and energy and gas. We can’t walk to our local grocery store. We have to drive miles away to get to our grocery store. So if you’re gonna take all that time and energy and gas to get to the grocery store, then you buy in bulk so you don’t have to go and shop every day.

do they think we are eating the entire container of ice cream at once. we need to let them know that thats enough for several servings. one container lasts me over a week if nobody else eats any.
