As for UFC 250, I still have many questions about what happened. I am not claiming anything as a fact and this is only my personal opinion. However, some circumstances looked very strange to me. At times the whole situation felt like a dirty fight and there seemed to be too many suspicious details surrounding it. That is why I am skeptical when people claim that Ilia Topuria intentionally lost or sold the fight. To me, that explanation is not convincing. If so many famous fighters in UFC history have failed anti doping tests, why should I accept everything blindly without asking questions.

During the USADA era from 2015 to 2023, UFC had numerous doping scandals and anti doping violations. Between 2015 and 2019 alone, 93 different fighters were found to have violated anti doping rules. Just remember Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar, TJ Dillashaw, Anderson Silva and other well known fighters. That is why when people tell me everything in UFC was always completely clean and transparent, I cannot fully agree. History has shown many times that there are valid reasons to ask questions. It is also well known that Dana White has always been one of Jon Jones biggest supporters and has repeatedly called him the greatest fighter of all time. Because of that, when someone says there is absolutely no reason to question anything, I simply do not see it that way.

I also believe Justin Gaethje would have had a very difficult time against Ilia Topuria. Many people wrote Ilia off far too quickly and forgot the path he took to get where he is today. It is worth noting that neither Ilia Topuria nor Merab Dvalishvili has ever publicly failed a doping test, while many famous fighters throughout UFC history have been caught violating anti doping rules. Because of that history, I personally have my own questions and doubts. I am not accusing anyone of anything, and I have no proof of wrongdoing. However, in my opinion, if there are ever concerns about fairness, important doping tests should be conducted by an independent organization in a neutral country rather than in a fighter’s home country. I believe that would help eliminate doubts and increase confidence in the results. This is only my personal opinion and not a proven fact. To this day, I still have more questions than answers about the whole situation. Ilia has already proven many times that he can come back when people doubt him, so I am definitely not ready to count him out.

no one is invincible. Topuria was literally dropped by Jai Herbert. He said it himself that he's actually very beatable, that's why he trains so hard. those people fighting at the top are never afraid of each other. If anything, it would make topuria even more dangerous and calculated now. 99% of the greatest athletes have lost at some point, it's part of the game.
