Yes. BS, MA, MS, AND PHD with four graduate certificates. In undergraduate programs you are LEARNING the discipline, in masters you are focusing in on an area and learning deeply, as a PhD you are literally creating the knowledge.

Exactly, and that’s why certain fields (particularly in STEM) require master’s or doctorate degrees. In some academic circles, they won’t even take you seriously if you don’t have a PhD.

Simplest way to explain it is undergrad and EVERYTHING BENEATH it is regurgitation - all your taught is to take in and spit out facts, Graduate is APPLICATION - how do use what you know in either a work environment or a educational/ research capacity - PhD is the CREATION of new knowledge you answer gaps in knowledge by creating new theories or shifting paradigms

That part. I have an MBA… but I have no interest in doing a PHD. I do not feel like making shit up and that amount of research. Thats just… way too much effort. The MBA wore me out. I’m good. I’m good never speaking to SPSS again. 🤦♀️🤦♀️

let's also make space that people can be experts without formal education. don't automatically stack rank people by education. there are different types of intelligence and you can still garner insights from someone with divergent ideas.
