Owl app is very surface level. Because a lot of the time if you get something wrong it won’t tell you exactly why. It’ll also make you remember context clues of what words go where rather than actually learning why. If you want to do that you have to go out of your way on the hints section or you have to buy the premium version.

Moving abroad as a child = A++ Tier. My family moved to Stuttgart when I was 5 and it was super immersive, even though I went to an American Kindergarten. The ONLY television show in English was Monty Python’s Flying Circus, so my parents let me watch. My favorite show was Porky Pig, in German. The only problem with kindergarten-immersion is that one needs to keep practicing once the child cycles back to the US. You can lose it just as fast as you learned it.
