@youarereality: Every power structure that ever wanted obedient people understood one quiet mechanism. If you can convince someone the divine is outside them, something far off to be feared, petitioned, and reached toward through an approved middleman, they will spend their entire life looking up and never once look within. They externalise their own power and hand it to whoever claims to represent it. But a person who knows the divine is within them, that the Source is the very awareness looking out of their eyes, cannot be governed that way. There is no one left to kneel to. That is the real reason Jesus quoting his own scripture, ye are gods, was so dangerous. He was not inventing a claim. He was reminding them it had been written all along, and a reminded person is a freed one. The piece almost everyone moves past too quickly is what the word God was ever actually pointing at. Not a separate being managing the universe from somewhere above. When Moses asked for a name, what came back was not a name at all, it was a description of being itself. I AM. The bare, wordless sense of existing and being aware that is present right now, underneath every thought, before any label or story about who you are. That I AM is not personal and it is not yours alone. It is the one infinite awareness experiencing itself through every living point of view, appearing as you, as me, as all of it at once. Your body, your name, your personality, these are the costume. The awareness wearing the costume is the part that was never born, never separate from the Source, because it is the Source, localised, briefly absorbed in the experience of being a single person. And this is not philosophy to admire from a distance, it is the literal foundation of how reality is created. If the divine is within and not outside, then power was never out there to chase, creation was never external, and there is nothing to beg a distant sky-god to hand over. The external world is the reflection of the consciousness behind it. The 3D is the printout, the lagging mirror, the effect, never the cause. It follows what you are being, it does not lead. So when you stop praying to something separate and start creating as the Source you already are, you are not performing a technique, you are simply taking the position that was always yours. Most people wait their whole lives for permission from a God they placed outside themselves, never realising the one they were waiting on was the awareness doing the waiting. In John 10:34, Jesus is quoting Psalm 82:6, where God addresses corrupt human judges who were called “gods” because they held authority over life and death — not because they were divine. And if you keep reading to Psalm 82:7, God immediately says “but you shall die like mere men.” That’s not an affirmation of human divinity — it’s a rebuke. Context matters more than quotes that confirm what we want to believe. 🙏 I appreciate the curiosity and I can tell you’re someone who likes to dig into Scripture — that’s a beautiful thing. But I’d gently encourage a closer look at the full context here before sharing this with others.

Technically, yes. We were made in God's image and we ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil so we have all the same knowledge and wisdom of God. We just didn't eat from the tree of life so we age and die. We have the potential to be gods, if only we didn't die. Thing is, if God can create a fruit that grants eternal life, then so can we. We just haven't reached that level of knowledge yet. Once we conquer death, we will be gods.

Jesus was quoting the verse Psalm 82 and the verse is a condemnation against the unjust rulers. And the reason Jesus quoted this verse was because he spoke to the pharisees which were unjust rulers. Later in John 10:35 John calls Jesus the Word of God. So Jesus Basically tells us that the pharisees whom Are ‘’gods’’, actually are looking at the very personified Word of God. God bless
