I really don’t think there’s a such thing as a bad first date spot only incompatible people . do what feels right . people saying dinners feel like job interview and yet going to coffee doesn’t?? people literally do interviews and business meetings over coffee all the time lol . people are what make first dates work not places or things.

First dates are always activities based, I prefer something with some possibility of competition. You really get a feel for the person once you see just how competitive they are or not on a first date. This is assuming you had conversation before you asked them out. Otherwise simple walk or coffee to have conversations. She says no, you just saved yourself from someone who isn’t dating with the idea of making connections and an open mind heart.

If your into nature, like I am, last thing I want to do on a first date is sit across someone for an hour in a restaurant , its starts to feel like a job interview.I really like walks outdoors, sometimes would even bring the 🐶. So that worked for me. Second date sure.

I asked her to Aldi's. I needed to shop for soup ingredients, and she was a huge fan of the "Aisle of Shame." I had never been there. That was our first date. Short and sweet.

Been on many first and subsequent dates and some relationships…but the mask comes off after 3 to 6 months and you see the real person. And then you have to evaluate whether this person is for you or not. 👍

Walks are great. Simple activities can be fun (if both people feel comfy with the activity). Sharing a museum or gallery walk. Whatever the setting, I want space for conversation and laughter. Keep things light, fun, and safe.
