my employer a couple of years back took easter off the holiday schedule and added Juneteenth. the amount outrage was the most entertained ive been in years.

I run social media accounts for a smallish town in Fl. I posted about a celebration event the city was doing for the first time ever and then a post the day of Juneteenth. So many of the comments were absolutely horrendous. It was so bad. I do a series of black history month posts in February too and get some vile comments. But we are apparently a small town that loves everyone. Racism is alive and well unfortunately.

I commented on a video about the Montgomery brawl and said that my dad wanted to see “where the white people got clobbered by the folding chairs” and several people called me a race traitor lol These people are so ridiculous
