Honestly, I don't like TikTok. I've been on here for 5 years. In that time, I've not yet made a genuine connection. Everyone on here is either something they present themselves as but truly aren't, or just outright lies. Being autistic, I can't see things the way others do. I take things and see them as literal and get hurt. I don't see TikTok like others do. It makes zero sense to me. I don't understand the social dynamics behind certain things. I don't understand why some on here get more attention than others, and it's easier for people to make friends and find relationships easier. I just don't understand why humans hurt and treat one another so unfairly. Biased and prejudiced people that dislike each other—I honestly don't get it at all. It just hurts. I want to matter to someone. I want someone to see my value and think I'm worth loving. I'm never good enough, for some reason. I'm misunderstood. I'm laughed at. Honestly, this app and how people treat each other on it really can affect someone behind the screen. We never know what someone could be really struggling with.
