We used to say in the oil patch if you can’t tie knots tie lots or we called they hacksaw knots 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you could undo them with a hacksaw

The truckers hitch, if you loop the tag end through the loop twice, it self locks so you don't have to cinch it when you lock it with the half hitches. Something I learned years after doing it your way, a simple little upgrade 😁

I never knew what it was called, just watched my dad do it and I use it all the time. I guess him being a trucker makes the knot name make sense?

a pair of channel lock pliers can untie any knot, even if you were pulling with a semi truck and 2 pliers even better

I'll tell you this as well, if you don't practice those knots occasionally, you will lose that knowledge quickly! especially when you're over 40 lol

add a prusik loop and you've got all the knots needed for a survival shelter. Provided you also have a tarp 🤣
