Also keep in mind radar guns work off the Doppler effect and to get an accurate reading they need to be stationary and pointing the radar gun down range as you move directly towards or away from them.

On a real note you have an argument depending on where you are, at least here in nj the troopers have to calibrate them every day to align with department policy, no idea if that’s standard across other states/forces

In our jurisdiction they confirm with vehicle speedometer. If it’s solely on radar (which it shouldn’t be but if that’s what is charged) in our jurisdiction ask for the calibration sheet from the radar/lidar/tuning forks
