Hamstring walkouts made simple🫡 This is one of the most simple bodyweight exercises for targeting your hamstrings and glutes, especially as a warm up activation exercise or finisher🍑 With no equipment needed unless you want a mat. Main form tips to remember👇 -Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. -Lift your hips into a glute bridge, ensuring to engage your core so you don’t arch your back. -From here, slowly walk your feet forward in small steps, keeping your hips lifted in that glute bridge position. ALWAYS push off the heel of your foot (I explain why further down). -Walk out as far as you can while maintaining control and not dropping your hips too much, then walk your feet back in. 📣Why I say dig your heels in during this exercise…. -Walking on your heels keeps your calves and quads disengaged, forcing your hamstrings and glutes to do the work of controlling the movement and supporting your hips🤗 -If you walk flat-footed, it’s easier to push off with your toes or balls of your feet, which shifts tension to your quads and calves, not what you want in this exercise❌ -Heels-down helps you maintain a neutral spine and lifted hips more easily, reducing the risk of letting your lower back sag or your hips drop 📉 Reasons to try this out: -Strengthens hamstrings and glutes -Improves hip stability -Helps prevent lower back pain -Great for runners and anyone looking to build posterior chain strength @Protein Works code PIPFIT for money off #hamstrings #gluteworkout #homeworkout #legday #bodyweightexercises #gluteactivation #fitnesstips #posteriorchain #corestability #warmupexercise #mobilitywork #hamstringsexercise #glutes
