During the visit, we formally congratulated H.E. the President on his electoral victory and assumption of the high office of the Republic of Ghana. We also expressed our profound appreciation to H.E. the President and the Vice President for the various development initiatives being undertaken across Ahafo, particularly in roads and infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, sports and other critical sectors that directly impact the lives and livelihoods of our people. We equally acknowledged and appreciated H.E. the President for giving citizens of Ahafo opportunities to serve in his government through various appointments. We consider this a meaningful demonstration of confidence in the competence, commitment and capacity of our people. But our visit was not only about appreciation. We also presented the aspirations and development priorities of Ahafo and respectfully outlined additional areas where government intervention is needed to accelerate development, create opportunities for our young people, improve infrastructure and enhance the living conditions of our people. We further appealed to H.E. the President to consider additional qualified and competent sons and daughters of Ahafo as government continues to constitute boards, agencies and institutions. The development of Ahafo cannot be left to government alone. It requires a united and coordinated effort from government, Nananom, MPs, MDCEs, civil society, the private sector and, most importantly, the people of Ahafo. My message to the people of Ahafo is simple: let us unite, put Ahafo first, support initiatives that advance development, and collectively work towards a brighter and more prosperous future for our region.
