@dadlifewithstephen: Would you do this?! 🫣 #dad #dadsoftiktok #DIY

Ashley :

Go to the LIBRARY!!!!! Support the library! They have sooo many movies to watch. And once you’ve streamed then you can return the physical copy ✨ 😉

faith rice :

sir what can’t you do lol?

Nick :

Ok. Hear us out. Petition for the server video too. I trust you to tell us, not random people on YouTube

Trivia W/ Isaac :

My movie collection 🖤

alondra :

with the price of hard drives and ssds now a days it might just be better to stream now a days 😭😭😭

David :

The issue with setting up home servers now is how expensive storage is now. This timeline sucks.

Yeehaw :

Downsides to those dvds are 480p…

Adam Gyllenhaal :

Ugh! That’s why I gave up cause I didn’t know how to setup the home server part

Sam Poulain :

what do you mean DAUGHTER?! You look so young😭

Account1325 :

How do you feel about trains…

* V I V I A N A * :

Im wondering if I could rent movies at our local library to do this and then return them?

jaylen :

my husband does this! we go to goodwill and buy movies often! ☺️

Miles Morales :

And btw even 1080p Blu-ray looks 10x better than 4k Netflix…you can immediately notice the difference, the compression makes it a night a day difference

whocalledhr :

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! This is a good way to introduce media to children in micro doses!! Such a good father💕

gsxr.luv6 :

my dad's old laptop used to have a DVD player inside of it. I wish they still did that 💔

kare-kahel 🙋‍♂️ :

im old af cause like a couple minutes into the vid i remembered we still actually had our old cpu which had built-in cd reader AND writer... even our old laptop models had it too

Kenna📚 :

Oh my god! My brother just did this for me for my birthday. We own over 400 DVDs and DVD shows. He just got it finished and my birthday was at the beginning of April😂

nekcihc_gnik :

njemarald :

Absolutely no shade on this hustle whatsoever. However, how do you still have physical Blu-ray’s to begin with. I haven’t seen one in person in a decade

athenaഒ :

smart man is so hot omg.

1EE8b :

want to do this because some movies on streaming platforms have different music than they originally had. I want the originals how I remember them

Jenny Roberts :

My dad paid me one summer to do this to his entire collection!

903areacode :

Nice. I’ve been doing it for years. I use Emby though. I think I have 2000 or so movies on a 80TB Synology NAS. Which also runs Home Assistant, and a few other things in Docker.

TheNamesJusto :

If you own the DVD’s, what’s the point of putting them in digital format?

knittykittypretty :

I need to pay someone to do this for me. I have thousands of movies and TV series on DVD and Blu-ray.
