For those unclear Vanitas looks like Sora bc Sora lended some of his heart to Ventus as the beginning of BBS, those hearts connected caused Van (previously no face at all as a primordial darkness) to reflect Sora’s appearance. Same reason Roxas reflects Ventus’ appearance, w Vens resting heart post-bbs in Sora.

wait I think I finally understand why he looks like sora, sora is a being of almost pure light while vanitas is a being of pure darkness, where he houses the unverse and forms of darkness, sora houses lights in the form of hearts. sora just came into existence way later, the light that comes from the darkness

vanitas is an ancient darkness however I'm curious how his story ends in kh4, maybe in a werid way he might become a companion I doubt it but I feel there's going to be a twist with him
