That’s why my birds cages are in my bedroom so they can free fly with out that worry i even close the bed room door so they can’t fly to the other room have to be careful

I highly suggest that you get a screen door for your front door one that looks like this one in the picture, they have magnets down the middle. It closes directly behind you.(my birds are scared of mine. They don’t like it. but I have it to keep them out of the kitchen.)

Hey, so most of us bird owners do not ever have a door accessible when a bird is out. That means having a system where everyone in the house knows not to come through that door, like only use the garage door, etc. you can also build a screen door on both sides of that door. That’s on you when the bird gets out.
