@shorelinerescueclub: The first time I tried to host a beach cleanup, nobody showed up. It's all good. I cleaned kits beach anyways. I was there yesterday waiting for someone to show up and clean the beach with me. They did show up! Since I first posted, more than 500 people have showed up to clean beaches with me across British Columbia. As it turns out, getting ghosted on the first attempt was the best thing that could have happened for the shoreline rescue club. It was born out of that initial failure. The following weekend... 70 people showed up to clean a local beach at Jericho in the pouring rain. Since then we've had over 15 successful cleanups. Failure is not always the end. Sometimes it's the start of something you never thought was possible. If you at first you don’t succeed, keep trying. I believe in you! 💛 If you want to clean a beach, or help support the environment and ocean conservation. We are here for it. Thank you all for helping me keep our oceans and beaches clean.
