As someone who did human med after working in vet med (which I adored), I recommend just sticking to what you love, the money will be there in human med but you’ll burnout the same way but this time it’ll be at the cost of your mental sanity, the money won’t truly make up for it because you’ll always yearn for it and waking up to work a job you hate simply for the money will ultimately end up being just as unsustainable, I’m currently a CST and I hate it, yes the pay is GREAT but I miss vet med every day, thinking of going back and just taking on the debt of being a vet, everyone on this earth has some type of debt and we all die anyway. My advice from someone in the same boat is to just make sure you follow that gut feeling every time you clock into human med, may not end up having financial debt but don’t let the debt you end up having be the one you have to yourself for not following your true passions and dreams.
