lots of people from Europe find rootbeer to have a medicinal taste. to be fair, that's kinda where it started, a sweetened medicinal drink, so it's more of an American thing. i didn't like it much as a kid, so it's probably an acquired taste. I'll stand by a rootbeer float though. they're delightful
