I don’t understand the science behind it but I love it. I first heard of it from Katie VanSlyke and she spoke about using it to wean foals. I picked one up and started using it for gardening. I found out 2026 was the last publication. I was so disappointed to hear that! I don’t know if the website will have all of the same info.

So, also… waning means that it’s approaching a new moon. New moons are for new beginnings. Change in a successful way. So if you start when it’s a waning crescent, then you’ll be successful in time for a new moon which is a good omen for a successful change.

My kids potty trained themselves. Just under 2 years they both decided no more diapers. And from that day forward, no more diapers. No accidents either.

I'm uncertain of the why and origin behind the knowledge of the almanac, but it is usually spot on.

I know it’s weird but there are dates in the almanac that you can plant onions but not butternut squash on the next day. I attribute it to the same reasons the moon influences the tides and women’s cycles.
